Marie Gavrilov Obituary

MARIE GAVRILOV (NEE REFFKIN) Formerly of East Chicago Marie (Reffkin) Gavrilov, 91, was born on April 9, 1920 and passed away on June 5, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV where she resided since 1984. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George, and parents Sam and Irene Reffkin; sisters: Catherine (late Joe) Banina and Anne (late Bob) Stevens; brothers: Sam (late Eleanor) Reffkin, Marion Reffkin and Richard Reffkin; nephews: Jerome Banina, Scott Stevens and Tony Stevens; and niece, Jenny Reffkin. She is survived by sisters-in-law: Anne (late Marion)Reffkin and Helen (late Richard)Reffkin; special nephew, William (Joan) Banina; special niece, Elaine (Joe) Rizzardo; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great-neices and nephews from the Reffkin, Banina nad Stevens families. Marie attended Washington High School and worked for various railroads. She was a designer and an excellent seamstress and loved video poker. Donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice. Private services are being handled by Palm Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV 1.800.542.2902
