Michael Richard Ferchak, 87, of Hobart, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Spring Mill Health Campus with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 25, 1938, in Gary, to the late Michael and Anna (Kasony) Ferchak.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jacqueline (Monacy) Ferchak; nephews, Richard and Kenneth Fiebelkorn, and Todd Knight; nieces, Katie Fiebelkorn, and Julia Lowe; and a loving host of friends and extended family.

Michael worked as a vicing supervisor for US Steel for over 40 years, proudly retiring in 2002. He was also a significant member of the Slovak Club and Sportsmen's Club, respectively.

Michael was a lifelong devoted fan of the University of Notre Dame's football team. He was also interested in cars, watching horse races, and was an animal lover at heart, especially when it came to his five beloved pups.
