Earlier this evening I was thinking of "Mr. Heinold." I had no idea he had passed away until I found this obituary. Mike was my 5th grade basketball coach at Morgan Twp and he taught my German and computer classes at Morgan Twp high school. Just this evening I remembered running into him at a Michael Card concert at Wheaton College in approx 1993--my senior year at Wheaton. It was so wonderful and encouraging to see him. He was a tremendous blessing and encouragement to me in my school years and I was actually hoping to reconnect this evening--however, I trust I'll see him again one day and I'm glad I can pass on my love and gratitude to his whole family. Grace and peace,

Becky and family, I want to express my condolences in the passing of Mike. I always thought very highly of him. We knew each other from high school days and college. (Becky, I think we had a few classes together at Purdue in Elementary Ed.) May the Lord be your strength always. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike and I grew up together in Lacrosse, IN. We spent a lot of our time enjoying baseball and other sports. Our parents were good friends so we spent a lot of time at each other's houses. Mike was a good friend and a great person.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike for many years at Valparaiso University. He was so kind and his love for the Lord shined through that kindness. We shared a lot of laughs. Even though he was sick he made it a point to attend my retirement party. My sympathy to his family but I know that even though they will miss him, he will always be in their hearts. Welcome to heaven Mike. Your job is done and you are home.

When I worked at PMH, Mike was our "computer wizard" that helped us out constantly. I even rode to work with Mike once in a while. He was one great guy. My deepest sympathy to your family. Mike is now an angel watching over all of you!

Mike and I shared a very close bound from birth. We were only a few months apart in age and by growing up in La Crosse we were pretty much inseparable. Over the years,
we kept in touch, eventhough, my family had moved out of state. He so loved his family and was such a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by so many and he will always remain in my heart. Love always ---
