VALPARAISO, IN - Michael S. Kellogg, 81 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born on September 26, 1941 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Georgia (Lyman) Kellogg. He graduated from Cass High School in Detroit, MI and Cedarville College in Cedarville, OH. Mike made his career in ministry as a radio program host for Moody Bible Institute and was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Chesterton. If you happened upon his radio program, you would be welcomed with a soothing voice saying, "hello, good friend" and hear the phrase, "have a great day, a great day indeed." Mike was fond of clocks and was always on the hunt for a good deal. He will be lovingly remembered for his off-the-wall sense of humor, pride in his work, and above all, love for his family.
On August 14, 1965, Michael married Nancy Smith, who survives, along with their children: Heidi (Emilio) Good, Stephen Kellogg, Adam Kellogg, Kristin (Kyle) Jordan, Cindy (Brian) Wolters, and Robbie (Lydia) Kellogg; brother, Julius Kellogg; grandchildren: Cordelia, Emilio, Zachary, Sebastian, Sandy, Colin, Maya, Sarah Jane, Haele (Wyatt), Payton, Michaela, Sam (Macey), Grace, Rosie, Emma, Theo, Nancy, Raven, and Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Georgia; and brother, Cliff Kellogg.
A visitation will be held on July 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Liberty Bible Church, 824 N. Calumet Ave., Chesterton, with a service starting at noon.

hello brothers and sisters, in 1988 i heard a powerful voice on my radio, it was Mr. Kellogg. i went through a very rough pregnancy and his voice help me get through it. I would stay awake at 12am just to hear his voice,and everytime i listened it was as if i was in the hands of the lord and like i was floating. and ever since 1988 i had been listening until the day he retired. broke my heart. i loved how the lord used his voice to bring me peace .

Mike was such a fine man. It´s hard to find the right words to describe his tremendous impact and high character. What I do know is that Mike was a loving friend to my family, a source of comfort and reassurance through all the ups and downs of life, and for that alone I am forever grateful.
