Mildred D. Wydrinski

Mildred "Millie" Wydrinski (nee Hernandez), age 88, of Schererville, died peacefully on

December 6, 2025. Millie and her late husband Geno were married on December 17,

1960 at Our Lady of Knock Catholic church in Calumet City, and have remained

faithfully in love ever since. Millie loved her family and held every holiday for all her

family members for many years. She felt caring for her family was the most important

gift in her life.

Millie and Geno loved to travel, and visited many countries in Europe and around the

USA. After retirement they winter vacationed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they

were joined annually by both family and friends.

Millie was a faithful Catholic devoted to the Virgin Mary. Millie is preceded in death by

her husband, Geno. Loving Mother to (late Jeanine Doescher), Sharon Sullivan and

Christopher (Amy) Wydrinski. Caring grandmother to Jennifer (Nee Doescher) Jacqueline (Nee

Doescher), Jack and Kate Sullivan, (the late Andrew Wydrinski), and Matthew, Luke, Eric and Greg

Wydrinski, great grandfather to Noah and Nicholas Shipley; and mother-in-law to David

Doescher.

Visitation for the family will be on Friday December 12, 2025 from 9:30-10:30am at St. Michael the

Archangel Church, 1 E. Wilhelm St. Schererville, IN with a Mass at 10:30am. Interment will be at

Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL at 2pm.
