Patricia Jean Thompson, 75 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born on July 21, 1950 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Genevieve (Fusek) Sowa. Patricia worked for nearly 20 years in the title business, most recently working at Ticor/Chicago Title. She enjoyed shopping, watching IU football, and loved animals. One would usually find her playing games and cards with family and friends, especially bunco. Patricia loved spending time with family, and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
On April 26, 1969, Patricia married James L. Thompson who survives along with their children, Jamie Grace and Eric Thompson; grandchildren, Katie, Nathan, and Alyssa; and sister, Janet (Michael) Stachyra. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sharon and Jerry Sowa.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service on Friday, December 19th at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
