Patsy Thomas Obituary
October 31, 1946 December 26, 2015 Patsy Thomas, 69, of LaPorte, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 2015 in her home. She was born October 31, 1946, in Birmingham, AL, to Thomas LeMar and Lillian (Loggins) Kilpatrick. Patsy worked 17 years in the steel industry for Inland and ArcelorMittal Steel. She was a member of the American Legion Post 295, Union Mills. Patsy was an avid Bears and White Sox fan and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. On June 20, 1997, in Valparaiso, IN, she married Island "Ray" Thomas, who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Michael (Gina) Santos of La Porte, Kevin (Jackey) Manis of TN; two stepsons: Jason (Christopher) Thomas, Willy Thomas; one stepdaughter, Dawn Thomas; and seven grandchildren: Alexis, Landon, Christopher and Bethanie Santos, Diana, Dyland and Dawson Manis. Preceding in death were her parents; one brother, Richard Kilpatrick; and one sister, Peggy Kilpatrick. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte (219) 362-3100 with Pastor Eddie Heavnor officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
