To the family of Rafael,

It pains me to find out today that Rafael has gone to be with the good Lord three years ago on this date. I knew him as "Ralph". Rafael was in my class taught by Mrs. Rossi back at Columbia Elemtary School. Later, he and I attended Bishop Noll Institute's Jr. High. I used to live on Truman Street and he lived on Indiana Street. He and I were partners in boyhood mischief. I remember his "smile lines" on his face and his characteristic full cheeks. I have been living in Louisville, KY for the past ten years now. What I want to say is that although it saddens me to now know of Rafael's passing at such a young age, just hearing his name immediately brought a smile (and chuckle) to my face because that's what Rafael did best....he gave of himself.

Que Dios los guarde,
David González
