Reda F. Adam, 77 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025. She was born on September 10, 1947 in Laclede County, Missouri, the daughter of John "Bill" and Rayma M. (Devore) Rogers. Faith, friends, and family were most important to Reda. She attended the Assembly of God Church and then raised her family at St. Paul Catholic Church, where she was a founding parent of Tiny Tim's Preschool. Most recently Reda attended Heartland Christian Center and enjoyed bible studies at Washington Evangelical Free Church. Reda worked in food service for many years; most would remember her at the Coffee Shop in Porter Memorial Hospital or Wendy's on Calumet Ave. She enjoyed traveling, during which she loved stopping to take in historical locations, and winters spent in Las Vegas with her husband, Ron. Reda was a voice of reason for Ron, which may have come from her strong-willed personality, and don't forget her quick wit. She had many valued friendships, several of them coming from her trips to the casinos. Most of all, her devotion to God and her family will be missed and cherished forever.
On February 4, 1968, Reda married Ronald Adam who survives along with their daughters, Stacy (Michael) DeVoid and Angela (Jim) Welch, and her granddaughter, Madison DeVoid. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois Rue.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso. In memory of Reda, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
