Richard Byrne Obituary
Richard J. Byrne, age 93, of Dyer, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children Laura (Randy) Paluszak, Carolyn (Keith) Jacobs, and Jennifer (Tim) Rosinko; his grandchildren Tyler (Kate) Paluszak, Megan Paluszak, Jordan Jacobs, Justin Jacobs, and Brooke Rosinko; and his sister, Jean Ainley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Irene (née Dewish) and Joseph Charles Byrne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, located at 500 Northgate Drive in Dyer, Indiana. Visitation is Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 3- 7 p.m. at White Funeral Home, 921 W. Glen Park Avenue, Griffith.
Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and earned his degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He retired after a dedicated 33-year career as a claims adjuster with Allstate Insurance Company.
He was a life member of the Indiana Harbor Yacht Club, Calumet Harbor Yacht Club, U.S. Power Squadron, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
