I just learned about Rita's passing by a post Mary Ann made in the Alumni Newsletter. I grew up with Rita as a classmate. Rita, Mary Ann and I were in a Brownie/Girl Scout Troop with Mrs Koci as a leader. I am very sad for your loss, but treasure the memories Rita created as a friend. We lost track of each other after high school graduation, but I was very happy to learn that she became a quilter later in life as did I.

Dear Stucky Family,
I just learned of this loss you have suffered, and I am so very sorry. Rita Stucky was a positively wonderful woman and the best and sweetest teacher I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She taught my 1st Grade class in 1992 and I was heartbroken when I realized she couldn't be my teacher for the rest of my education. The world is an infinitely better place because of the impact her warmth, kindness, beauty, and love had on all who had the opportunity to know her. May peace and love always be with you

To the Stucky Family, I was surprised today to hear of Rita's passing. We used to attend Glen Park Baptist and I was blessed to work with her in the Awana Sparks Club. She was a good friend, a wonderful woman, and I enjoyed all of the times that we shared in the "young marrieds" class together. I pray that you will be able to remember her with joy until we see her again. Patti Vesa, Mesquite, Tx.

Dear Stucky Family,
I was shocked to hear today of Rita's passing. I knew her only a short time when I worked at Franklin for just one year earlier in my teaching career. Some days I had a hard time fitting in there, but never with Rita. She was always a wonderful breath of fresh air during my day, and I sought her advice and encouragement many times. I will fondly remember her and her genuine smile and kind words. I am proud to have known her, even for a short time. I pray for your family's peace and comfort in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Kate Perschon

Dear Jean and Stucky Family,
May the God of all comfort, comfort your hearts in the days to come. It was my joy and privilege to have come to know Rita through Jean. I was indeed a recipient of her thoughtfulness and care. I look forward to hugging her neck again when I see her again in heaven. Sincerely with love, Kathy Davis

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your unforeseen loss of “Little Rita.” Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. “Little Rita” was such a dynamic and caring person, always smiling while generously offering to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be sadly missed by all of us. I remember in one of my many books of quotes, a saying that came from a headstone in Ireland (and we all know how proud she was of her Irish heritage!!)
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal!
With thoughts of Peace and Courage for you all,

Dear Stucky's and other family members,
We reflect on the good times we had with your wife, mom, daughter and sister. Rita was someone special who had a way of lighting up every room she entered. Why? A room could not contain her good heart and the smile that was ever present. She was a constant encourager and friend to all. She touched so many lives.
We would rather have loved and lost Rita than to have not known her at all. Heaven is now a richer place.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories of Mrs. Stucky...she was always so great about letting us have sleepovers and messing up her kitchen making cookies and helping us with that cake in 7th grade for Mr. Shorb (what a mess) ....she was just so much fun and such a dear person....I'll miss her a lot and was lucky to have known her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Stucky Family,
My deepest sympathy for your sudden loss. My son, Andrew, had the privilege of being in her class last year. She was one of his favorite teachers. She taught him alot more that just reading, writing, and math! She taught him honesty and how to treat others. I am the president of the PTC at Frankin School and I saw her most everyday. She was always smiling and very thankful for what the PTC has done for the teachers at Franklin. She thanked me often and told me many times that she was praying for me. I will greatly miss her enthusiam and love she had for Franklin School.
Sincerly,
