Robert Henry Stoffregen Sr., age 79, of Key Largo, FL, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away January 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Josephine (nee Brennan); his brother Marx (Marge) Stoffregen; his children: Theodore (Yolanda) Stoffregen of Miller Beach, IN, Joellen (Ken) Griffin of Chesterton, IN, Michael (Sandi) Stoffregen of Munster, IN, Matthew (Jeanne) Stoffregen of Lake Village, IN, Ginger (Jeff) Richardson of Hammond, IN, Phillip (Lisa) Stoffregen of Indianapolis, IN, Margaret (Terry) DeYoung of Munster, IN, Mary Kate (Nick) Scandone of Fountain Valley, CA, Amy (Maurice) Klefeker of Littleton, CO; his grandchildren: Jonathan Stoffregen, Joshua (Desiree) Stoffregen, Matthew Milletary, Kevin Milletary, Beth Milletary, Kelly Griffin, Kim Griffin, Richard Stoffregen, Michael Stoffregen, Gina Stoffregen, Nicholas Stoffregen, William Richardson, Meggie Richardson, Patrick Stoffregen, Katelyn Stoffregen, Lauren Stoffregen, Jacob DeYoung, Jessica DeYoung, Dylan DeYoung, Jolie Klefeker and Madalyn Klefcker; his great-grandchildren: Sam Stoffregen, Claire Milletary, Leo Milletary and Peyton Stoffregen; beloved sisters-in-law: Kathleen Engelbrecht and Mary Ginther; donzens of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sons: Robert Jr. and Peter and his parents Ted and Irma. Proud veteran of WWII serving in the US Naval Forces. He retired after 53 years of service from Millwrights Local 1693 and President of Robert Henry & Associates. "Cadillac Bob" was a friend of Bill and Bob. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr., Dyer with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Robert will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Friends may call at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home (corner of Main & Kennedy) Schererville/Dyer on Monday from 3-8 p.m.
