Robert Tyner Obituary
Robert "Punk" Tyner, age 80, of East Chicago, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. James Hospice in Chicago Heights, IL. He is survived by three sisters: Julia Belle Harris, Bernice (Eugene) Austin and Wardell (Paul) Manley, all of East Chicago; two sisters- in-law: Selma Smith and Julia Lee Tyner, both of East Chicago; 34 nieces and nephews; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at New Community Baptist Church, 5461 Calumet Ave., Hammond, IN with Rev. Patrick Gillis officiating. Interment at Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Visitation will be Saturday, October 2, 2010 at New Community Baptist Church from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with family hour from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

To the Tyner Family,
I do believe that when a loved one has finished their life on earth; they are not dead. Their life has just began. They are still with us in spirt and live in our hearts and memories. That we must beleive. May God bless you and comfort you all during this time. He is the only one that can bring the Joy and Serenity that will assist you and lean not unto thine own understanding. God always knows best!
