Since I learned of Rosalyn’s passing, I find myself thinking of you and your family and how much we will all miss her. I am comforted because I am one of the lucky ones whose life was touched by this very special woman. Our family is privileged to have known Rosalyn. As an adult, I realize what an important role the Berdine’s played in my formative years. Perhaps without knowing, the entire family was a stable and strong example for me and my sisters and we carry them with us throughout our adult lives. I join you and the many others who will deeply miss her, and in the months to come, please know that our family loves and cares about you and will keep you in our prayers.

Dearest Merle and Family,

Rosalyn was a very dear person to me. I will always treasure you dear people and all of our wonderful memories growing up in the old neighborhood! I recently found a letter Rosalyn wrote in 1967 to Chrissie. She chose Rosalyn to be her penpal! She was a kind and loving person and the Holy Spirit DID live in her! I will never forget her...I know she is in Heaven now. My son, Nicholas refers to Rosalyn and Merle as the "candy grandma and grandpa!" All my love to you all! Kathy Karnafel Nowak
