Rosetta Lofton

Rosetta V. Lofton Hammond Rosetta V. Lofton, of Hammond, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at home. She is survived by two daughters, Sara Owens of Hammond and Shirley (Greg) Peterson of Munster; two sons, Roosevelt (Betty) Lofton of Hammond and Robert (Rose) Lofton, Jr. of Merrillville,; 11 grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; life long friend, Ms. "Tiny" Short of Hammond; devoted friend, Michael Pollard of East Chicago and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Lofton, Sr. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 11:00 am New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1117 Merrill Street, Hammond with Rev. Herman Polk officiating. Interment at Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Friends may call Monday, February 7, 2005 at Hinton and Williams Funeral Home, 4859 Alexander Avenue, East Chicago from 4 to 8 PM. Mrs. Lofton was the proprietor of the Blue Lite Restaurant in Hammond.
