SADIE MYERS DEMOTTE, IN
Sadie Myers age 89, of DeMotte, IN passed away Tuesday July 14, 2009 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village, DeMotte, IN. She was born on February 10, 1920 in Fair Oaks, IN to Grace (Hoffman) and Daniel Sipkema, both deceased. Sadie was a Fair Oaks High School graduate Class of 1937 and had attended Gallegar Business School in Kankakee, IL. On May 9, 1940 she married Ralph L. Myers, Sr., who passed away March 2, 2002. Together they owned and operated Myers Drive-in in DeMotte, IN from 1954-1975. She was a member of The American Reformed Church, Charter member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #440 and Retirees of Local #150 I.U.O.E. Sadie is survived by her loving children; Patricia (Robert) Nuss of DeMotte, IN, Delores (Donald) Schomaker of Westville, IN, Beverly Starns of Manassas, VA and Ralph L. (Ardith) Myers, Jr. of DeMotte, IN; brother, Daniel (Ruth) Sipkema of Fair Oaks, IN; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Myers, Sr.; grandson, Jeremy Starns; one sister; and two brothers. Family and friends may call on Friday July 17, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service, 200 Third St. SW, DeMotte, IN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 18, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, IN with Pastor Dan Jelsma officiating. Interment at Holland Cemetery.
