Simon Floyd Obituary
February 23, 1970 - December 19, 2024
Simon Floyd, 54, passed away on December 19, 2024 in Dyer, Indiana. He was born on February 23, 1970, in Newcastle, England, to Dr. Michael and Christine Floyd. Simon moved to the United States before kindergarten and graduated from Homewood Flossmoor High School in 1988. He is survived by his wife, Susie (Brennan), brother, Nick Floyd, and father, Mike.
Simon co-founded Three Floyds Brewing in Hammond, Indiana in 1996 alongside his brother and father. He was an accomplished chef whose culinary skills were matched only by his generous spirit. Simon had a gift for finding space for everyone at his table and making everyone feel at home. He always kept glasses full and nobody went home hungry. His enthusiasm for uniting people through food and drink made a lasting impression on everyone.
Visitation will be held at Kish Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. with a service starting at 4 p.m.

I offer my condolences to the Floyd family. Although, I did not know Simon, I knew his father, Dr. Michael Floyd. Dr.Floyd took such loving care of my husband, Emil Beeg, at Porter Memorial Hospital, when he was experiencing renal failure. We thought so much of him;; and, it was a joy to read about the family and the " three Floyds!".
