Stanley Kuzniar Obituary

STANLEY J. KUZNIAR "STAN" CROWN POINT, IN
Stanley "Stan" J. Kuzniar, age 68, of Crown Point, formerly of Calumet City and Lansing, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Stan was a retired employee of Inland Steel. He later worked part time for Home Lumber. Stan was a Harley Davidson and Ford enthusiast and loved showing his Mustang on the Square. When he wasn't working on his car, he was always helping everyone as the family handyman. He was a long standing member of the Calumet City Cavaliers. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents: Ted and Helen Kuzniar; and father and mother-in-law: Chuck and Lottie Lochte. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Maureen; daughters: Kristin Kuzniar of Huntington Beach, CA and Karin (John) Tweedie of Chicago, IL; brother, Ted Kuzniar of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-law, Karen Lochte of Dyer, IN; nieces: Kim (Steve) Kluga and Catherine Kuzniar; nephews: Greg (Irma) Kuzniar and Matthew Kuzniar; and many cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN with Rev. John Starr officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Burns Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association or Hearts of Hope through Munster Community Hospital. www.burnsfuneral.com

I worked closely with Stan when he was with Inland Ryerson's Building Systems during the "Northward Expansion." I loved the guy. There will be a void. I am praying for those he loved.
