STELLA BORYSIEWICZ GARY/MILLER, IN Stella Borysiewicz, age 92, a lifelong Gary/Miller resident, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Joanne (Gerald) Hofferth, Dianne Mickey, Joyce Balazs, Marjorie (late Carl) Traicoff, Peter (Robbi) Mazeikas; and many great- nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Anthony and Pauline Borysiewicz; sisters: Kay Drag, Lottie Mazeikas, Helen and Stefanie Borysiewicz; brother, Joseph Borysiewicz; and niece Geraldine Drag. Stella was a longtime devout member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Miller. She was also a longtime member of the Madame Curie Circle P.N.A. Lodge #3134 and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #207. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM from St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church (6060 Miller Ave., Gary) with Most Reverend Dale Melczek officiating.
