Steve was my right hand as bailiff, a great historian and colleague after our retirement, and dear friend. So sorry to have been unable to attend.

Steve was always on the go, you couldn't stop him from going shopping, out to eat and one party or another. He lived every day of his life to the fullest. I'm sure he's doing the same in heaven. Rest in peace Steve we sure will miss you.

I got reacquainted with Steve planning our 50th class reunion. It was such a wonderful experience getting to know Steve again. His love for his school and classmates was always evident, and he worked so hard tracing people so that we could contact them and renew friendships. I will cherish the memories of Steve. He was one very special guy.

Steve and I were team mates on the 1960 undefeated calumet conference basketball team. He was always one of the good guys. We will miss him at our monthly EDISON OLD TIMERS breakfasts. Rest in piece "Sam".

Condolences to the entire Summers Family. Steve and I were not all that close during our time at Edison High School because we were in different classes. However, Steve was a great team mate on the EHS Baseball Team. We were the only Baseball Team in EHS history to win the Calumet Conference Championship...1960. In recent years, Steve and I became closer as a result of our attendance and participation at the monthly Edison Old Timers (EOT's) Breakfast Get Togethers. You've lost a good one. I'm sure that Steve is in a better place...may he RIP. God Bless.

Prayers and thoughts to Steve's family, Steve was really a special person who gave and showed a great kindness to others. From a Edison friend, who recently had another chance to renew that friendship over the last few years. I especially enjoyed the fishing with you and Ron!
