STEVEN N. BAROEVICH

Steven N. Baroevich CROWN POINT, IN - Steven N. Baroevich, age 62 of Crown Point passed away on September 28, 2018. He was born in Gary, IN and was a lifelong member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, where he was serving as the current 1st Vice President of the Executive Board. He was also a former Sunday School President and Teacher for several years, a dedicated member of Karageorge Choir, and past member of the St Sava Tamburitzans. In addition, Steve was a lifelong member of several local Tamburitza groups. He had deep love for his Tamburitza community and its music. He was the owner of Ridgeway Towing, established in 1948 by his late Father, Steve Baroevich. He was also employed by the Lake County Sheriff's Department in various positions over numerous years. Steve is survived by his loving Wife of 34 years, Marie Baroevich (nee Sopko); two cherished daughters, Lauren and Caitlyn; his beloved Mother, Helen Baroevich; two dear sisters, Kathleen Baroevich and Diane Holstein; and many other family members, Kumovi, and dear lifelong friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the CALUMET PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 7535 Taft St., Merrillville with a Pomen Service at 7:00 p.m., V. Rev. Marko Matic, officiating. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m. directly at St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 9191 Mississippi St., Merrillville, IN. Interment, Calumet Park Cemetery.
