Thomas J. Milcarek Sr., age 80, late of Cedar Lake, IN, formerly of South Chicago and Calumet City, IL. Beloved husband of Cynthia (Nee Skelnik) for 56 years. Loving father of Tom Jr. (Denise), and Don (Teri). Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Kayla, and Brad. Dearest brother of Richard, Harry, and Joseph. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his parents James and Edna and brother James. Veteran of the United States Marines. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, and most importantly spending time with his family. Visitation Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services, March 4, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN) St. John to St. Mary Catholic Church, Crown Point. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum.
