Thomas Gregory Robbin

Thomas Gregory Robbin, 77, passed away at his home from pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family, on December 26, 2025 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born in 1948 in Gary, Indiana, to Mauvelyn Renee Robbin and Harry Noah Robbin. He graduated from Wirt High School in Gary.

Thom earned a B.A. in Radio/Television Production and Theater and a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

He was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity, and remained lifelong friends with his fraternity brothers.

He worked in educational media design and production for Indiana University. Later, he worked in Cincinnati, Ohio in various aspects of commercial/corporate film & video production.

In 1995, Thom received his law degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis. After practicing personal injury law, he later specialized in immigration law in Indianapolis and Chicago.

He had interests in piano, theater and cinema, photography and video, politics, history, family genealogy, scuba diving, hiking and birding. Thom played the piano from age six until his final year of life.

Thom is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynn M. Robbin, his children, Amanda R. Rizzo (Luca) and Daniel N. Robbin (Noa), brother, Howard Schelly and three grandsons: Matteo, Giovanni and Thomas Rizzo.

Services will be held at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN on Friday, January 2, 2026. Visitation will start at 10:30 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon.
