Todd Polgar Obituary
Todd Ryan Polgar
GRIFFITH, IN - Todd Ryan Polgar, age 34, of Griffith, IN passed away peacefully on August 31, 2020. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and uncle. He was a 2005 graduate of Griffith High School. He is survived by his brothers Eric (Taylor), Rob (Deana), Frank (Lori) Polgar, step-mother Diane Polgar, Aunt Denise and Uncle Paul Tennola, Uncle Greg Marren (Cheryl), Uncle Daniel Marren (Jeanne), and Aunt Candace Marren. He had six nephews, two nieces, and many cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Carole Polgar (nee Marren), father Robert Polgar, grandmother Harriet Marren (nee Minninger), grandfather George Marren, and Uncle James Marren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at HILLSIDE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Todd was a very caring happy soul who never knew a stranger. He provided loving, supportive, and compassionate care for his mother. He was a natural athlete and an avid sports fan. He had a passion for cooking and especially loved trying new recipes out on his Grandma.
He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he has touched.

My condolences to all of Todd's family. I did not know him but I know he will be missed by all his family and friends. I regret that I was never able to get a Polgar family reunion organized. I would have enjoyed getting to know all my cousins. My mom was the late Adele Polgar Brady.

Todd was one of my best friends growing up we had lots of good times together from playing sports when we were younger to being roommates at IU. I will always remember us playing little league and running into each other causing us to both get knocked out, traveling to basketball tournaments, playing late night pick up games at the courts or Tot Park, working together at the hall, and many great memories at IU. Todd always walked around with that big grinning smile and would lend a helping hand to anyone that asked. The shock and sadness of his passing will be a tough one to get over. I hope that he is a peace and reunited with the ones that he loved and cared for so much!

Todd was a great student athlete. So proud to have known him and coached him for 4 years. Many great memories over the years. I know I never said it enough, but I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication. Thank You so much for all of the sacrifices you made for GHS BBB. I was a better coach because of you. I trust you are going to a better place. Thank you and you are in my prayers. Pray for us as well!
