Vera M. Johnson "Sista" Vera M. Johnson "Sista" was born to the late Mary E. Johnson and Clarence Thompson on February 13, 1936 and passed away Tuesday February 20, 2018. She attended Booker T. Washington Elementary and High School in Montgomery, AL. She accepted Christ and united with the Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the Senior Choir. Vera is preceded in death by mother, Mary E. Johnson; father Clarence Thompson; brother Richard; sister Louise; nephew, Vernon; She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Peggy (James) White; son, Lamar (Frederika) Johnson; grandchildren: Terrance White, Anthony White, Tameca Johnson, Latina White and Phillip (Jennifer) Johnson; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Tuesday February 27, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00a.m. all services at the GUY & ALLEN CHAPEL. Interment Concordia Cemetery Hammond, Indiana.
