Violet Toth Obituary
Violet M. Toth, 80, a longtime resident of Naples, FL died on October 3, 2010. Formerly of Crown Point, she had been a Naples resident since 1998. A retired homemaker and talented seamstress, Violet was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she worked as their part time receptionist for several years. She also served as Eucharistic minister and volunteered as facilitator for the Bereavement Ministry. She was active in her community, Naples Land Yacht Harbor, where she and her husband, Joseph had lived for many years. Violet will be dearly missed by her family, including her children: Lorrie (Bill) Barancyk of Naples, FL Sandra Treadway of Valparaiso, IN, Nancy (David) Fargo and Karen (Greg) Scott both of Crown Point, IN, Joseph (Laura) Toth, Hebron, IN and Julie Ann (Sean) Donohoe of Lees Summit, MO; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Arlene (Robert) Kerwin of Naples, FL; brother, Jack (Mary) Serletic of Hobart, IN; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Joe. Visitation on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. with interment following at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. www.burnsfuneral.com

Our condolences to the Toth family. Vi was our neighbor in Crown Point and she watched our children, Eric and Heather, when they were toddlers. We still refer to her as Auntie Vi. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Tib and Linda Schultz

Vi was a beautiful person, inside and out, and she served by living her faith so strongly in helping others in their time of grief. She is beloved and will be missed greatly.
