Virginia Spak Obituary
HAMMOND, IN - Virginia D. Spak, age 84, of Hammond, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. Virginia is survived by her nieces: Judith Davis and Gail Abbott; nephew, Tom Ference; and several other special nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Andro and Mary Spak; brother, Andrew (late Helen) Spak; and Mary (late Harry) Ference and Gloria (late George) Burton.
Virginia was a 1957 graduate of Bishop Noll High School. She attended Indiana University and taught for the School City of East Chicago for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid Tamburitza fan.
A Funeral Mass was held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Church, 570 Sibley St, Hammond, IN, 46320, with Rev. Eduardo Malagon officiating. Friends visited with the family from 11:00 AM until time of Mass. Burial followed at St. John St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
