EAST CHICAGO, IN - Wallace Hunter, 68, of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Zion Missionary Baptist Church 3939 Drummond Street in East Chicago, IN. Visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Fern Oaks Cemetery in Griffith, IN.

Rest in Peace, my Brother. Deepest Condolences to the family. I knew Wallace as a Track and Field Teammate at ECW and as a friend and Frat Brother - Alpha Phi Alpha - Gamma Eta - at Indiana University. I remember Wallace as a talented athlete, basketball player and high jumper, and as a kind, gentle man.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Wallace! We met at IU and he was one of the first Alpha Brothers I met when I was an Alpha Angel. Wallace was truly a class act! My condolences to the Hunter family, friends and Gamma Etta Brothers!
