WILBUR D. "DALE" WYANT

Wilbur D. "Dale" Wyant HEBRON, IN - Wilbur D. "Dale" Wyant, age 66 of Hebron, IN, entered eternal life on April 11, 2018 due to a tragic accident. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Mecosta, MI to the late Wilbur Franklin and Jean Wyant. Dale is survived by his wife, June (nee Kinach) of 41 years; children: Julie (Michael) Abner of Henryville, IN and Josh (fiancée Toni Bella) of Crown Point, IN; two grandchildren: Matthew and Mia Abner of Henryville, IN; brother, Lyle (Connie) Wyant of Remus, MI; sisters: Roxann (Jim) Simon of School Section Lake, MI,Becky Stephens of Stanwood, MI and Lindy (Don) Adsit of FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur F. Wyant and Jean Wyant; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ed and Helen Kinach. Dale was currently an employee of Lowe's Home Improvement in Hobart, IN and was retired from Arcelor Mittal Steel Company after 26 years of faithful service. Dale was a member of St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Church in Cedar Lake, IN. He was the Chairman of the Parish Committee at St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Church for the last 12 years. Dale was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Men's Club and the Parent Teacher Organization. He was extremely active within the church with the weekly fish fry, One Hot Meal Program and the general maintenance of the parish. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the GEISEN FUNERAL HOME, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307, with a prayer service at 5:00 PM. Funeral Services will begin on Monday, April 16, 2018 with a final viewing at 9:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Church, 6629 W. 133rd Ave., Cedar Lake, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM with Rev. John P. Kowalczyk, Jr., officiating. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Dale's life was his family and friends. There was nothing too big or too small that he would not do for his family or his friends. He will be remembered for his warm smile and big hugs. Dale was known to many as "Papa" and would open his heart to all. Dale was exceptionally proud of his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and always wore his "Irish". Dale's memory will be deeply cherished in the hearts of many.
