ALEX DUBE Obituary
Dancer Advocate, Pioneer in Unionizing Dance Companies across America, and Executive Director of Career Transition For Dancers (CTFD) at the Caroline and Theodore Newhouse Center for Dancers, died May 19th. Age 67. With the Sono and Victor Elmaleh Foundation Gifts, CTFD's programs and services were expanded, and its yearly galas Netting $1-million-plus revenues, offered Dancers, career counseling, educational and entrepreneurial grants. During CTFD's 30th Anniversary, Alex assisted in integrating CTFD into the Actors Fund. CTFD's dedicated Past Gala Chairs, Anka Palitz, Michele Herbert, Michele Riggi, Ann Van Ness, Patricia Kennedy; Vice Chairs, Janice Becker, Christina Rose, Marisa and Robin van Bokhorst, Irene and Fred Shen; Admiring Friends, Gerald Applestein, Richard Kielar, Christian Zimmermann, Roberta Silbert, Gianni Russo, Sandy, Greg and Ryan Kriser, as well as Thousands of grateful Dancers, mourn his death.
