GREENWALD--Alfred Seth, known as A. Seth Greenwald; Born April 18, 1940, Brooklyn, NY, died September 30, 2023, Brooklyn, NY. Beloved husband of Judith, father of David, Miriam and Joel, grandfather of Nina, Isaac, Eve, Miriam (Mira) and Rosalind, brother of June. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School, Swarthmore College, B.A., 1960, Columbia Law School, J.D., 1963, Admitted to the NYS bar, 1964, USAF, Sgt. 1963 - 1969. Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York, Principal Court Attorney to The Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, First Department. President of Congregation Baith Israel Anshei Emes (The Kane Street Synagogue). A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, a husband, father, and friend, an engaged member of his community as a congregant, a scout leader, a veteran, and a member of the Executive Committee of The Independent Neighborhood Democrats. As an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York, he represented the State successfully six times before the Supreme Court of the United States.
