Remembering Alice. She was my first supervisor , I was a 19 year old shy woman and she became my role model. She retired after my first year in the HQ, MTMCEA Inland Traffic Admin office. I never forgot how she showed me to do my best at whatever I was assigned to do. I remember how she treated me with first aid when my arm was burned from a scalding accident and I carried her influence over the years when I became a teacher. After she retired, I gave her a lladro statue of a young woman in a graceful pose. I am remembering Alice in 1977, this is 2026 and her memory has been a gift as her life was a blessing.

Alice, I miss you and think about you so often. We clicked from the day we met and I loved you like my own grandmother. I'm so glad you got to meet Lila too. You always used to play "this little piggy went to market" with her as a baby. I wish we had had more time together but the many reminders around the house will keep you close until we meet again. - Love, Cathia
