A true force of nature, I met Alisa after my cousin attended a charity event she had hosted. They started talking about health in Africa, he mentioned he had a Nigerian cousin, a public health physician and she insisted he introduce us. She followed up by firing off an email to my cousin that very night or first thing the next morning and only a few days after, we were having coffee in a cafe near my office in Marylebone. Full of life and energy, her glamour could.very easily lead the casual observer to miss her very canny and shrewd perspectives and insights. Several more meetings followed- her generosity and warmth and energy were unique. Was sad to stumble across this- my deepest condolences to her family who meant so much to her

Alisa and I lifeguarded at the same day camp swimming pool before college started. She was so kind and bright; we had many great conversations. As I expected, she has gained even more friends since then as well as a beautiful family. I wish you healing and hope during this difficult time.

ALISA was an extraordinary human being.
That word is nearly always overused in social discourse but from the very first moments I met her - in July 2009 - I immediately realized I was in the presence of an individual that was truly remarkable. What she saw in me is still unclear but, like all the greatest people, she had this ability to inspire others to appeal to the better angels of their natures.
In more prosaic terms and, put simply: you never wanted to let her down. Not because of profit or gain but simply because we were always swept up in her utter humanity, her passion and her enthusiasm for others: the haves and the have nots, those fortunate and those not so lucky together with the powerful as well as the dispossessed amongst our fellow humans.
We worked on so many projects together - whether in the UK or abroad...whether about Africa or otherwise - and, on each occasion, I could never detect any preference or favoritism of issue. She applied her ineffable energies and her benevolent outreach as equally to (say) the Walkabout Foundation as she did to helping 'The Beautiful Game'.
Alisa - you were a friend, a guide, a mentor, a sounding board and a shining inspiration.
Your legacy will undoubtedly live on, not only through the projects that you made your life's work but by way of your family's everlasting love and the remembrance (through perpetuity) of your friends and wider network.
Josh, Nate, Ash, Rosie, Ava and Lily - I am profoundly sorry for your loss.
I wish you a long life.

Dear Alisa,
Our children have grown up together from the youngest age and we are all so devastated by your passing. All our love and thoughts are with your family. You lived with an energy and purpose that was nothing short of remarkable. It was as though you knew you only had a limited time to make the biggest difference to so many lives. You are a light and an inspiration to us all and I know that your lovely children will continue to carry the torch for you. RIP. The Warleys

Words cannot express my sadness for your loss. If this world could have a measure of her kindness, compassion, strength and love for humanity, we could achieve God's purpose. #lightsobrightwillneverstopshining
