I worked with Andrew Maloney in the Justice Department. I was Of Counsel to Maloney, Viviani, and Higgins, and second seated Andy in USA v King and Boucher as well as worked with him over the years in a number of matters. Andy was a mentor and I had no wiser and truer friend. Andy was a great family man, friend, patriot, and one of the finest human beings I had the privilege to know and have as a friend and Mentor. Andy and I served together in the SDNY as AUSAs. He was a noted, fair prosecutor! I did not know of his boxing career. I boxed at Harvard and won as the Light Weight Boxing Champ in my Freshman year. Perhaps we shared the mission of fair combat that he demonstrated fully in his career.

I got to know Mr. Maloney as a masseur at the Yale Club of NYC which he used regularly as a guest of his member friend Mr. Nussbaum. Even when lying down on the massage table, Mr. Maloney was a stand up guy! He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family, all of whom meant the world to him.

I worked with his lovely, sweet daughter Tara. She was one of the best bosses that I ever had. I am so sorry and will pray for the entire Maloney family. Rest in peace, Mr. Maloney.

I am very sorry for the family´s loss of this good man. As one of the many who had the good fortune to work for him in the EDNY, I mourn the loss of a leader who achieved so much for our country and justice. He will be remembered.

Andy was a good man, a loyal, honest and fair US Attorney who I often heard say Swift and Certain Justice is what we need. Those words still ring in my ears. God Bless Him

Andy was highly regarded by all his classmates. He was at the top of his class as a student and then enjoyed a career in public service that earned for him the Fordham Law Alumni Association's highest honor, the Medal of Achievement. He was an exemplar of the values of Fordham Law School in the service of others.
