I did not know Andrew. I read his obituary in the NYT this morning (I repurpose old newspapers in my house) and my heart was broken by what I read. I'm here to extend my deepest sympathies to your family.

Our deepest sympathies to Nettie, Alex, Ralph and Matthew.
While we were not as close as adults, I remember having so much fun as a boy with Andrew on North Haven. Mixing his skills learned from growing up in Manhattan with mine from California we were very capable troublemakers at just ten years old. The most fun was had building forts from driftwood and lighting things found on the beach on fire. As much as we tried we could never get that bottle of motor oil we found on the beach to explode.... I had always hoped to reconnect with you Andrew. I'm sorry that never happened. Love you. Alex

Deeply sorry for your loss Nettie, Alex, Ralph and Matthew. We adored Andrew!!! What a gentle soul. Our favorite memory was watching Andrew and Dino playing guitar together whilst Allie and Sophia sang as back up. Sending much love, The Shiatis Family xxx
