ANTHONY DADDINO Obituary

DADDINO--Anthony Francis, was born in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York to Francis and Anna Daddino, children of Italian immigrants from Southern Italy. He graduated from St John's University with a BBA in Accounting and became Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co.'s Audit Partner for Wall Street-related financial firms. Recruited by Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. (DLJ), to be its Chief Accounting Officer, Tony became DLJ's Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and a member of its Executive Committee. After 24 years as DLJ's financial leader, Tony oversaw the financial integration of DLJ into Credit-Suisse First Boston ("CSFB") in 2000. At CFSB he held the position of Chief Administrative Officer and was a Member of its Board and the Executive Committee. Tony retired in 2002 and became a board member of Blair Academy in New Jersey, and St. Luke's Lifeworks (St. Luke's, now Inspirica) and Greenwich Adult Day Care (GDAC, now River House), both in Connecticut. At the time of his death, Tony served as Treasurer and Board Member of MAP Education & Research Foundation, and was on the Board of Applico LLC. Tony had five sons, a daughter and seven grandchildren. His wife, Susan Bevan, and four of his six children were with him as he took his last breath after his beloved Yankees won their only game in a series against his wife's home team, the Seattle Mariners, on August 1, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held later this fall. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of your choice, or to River House's Family Care Fund in honor of Anthony F. Daddino.

I was fortunate to share time with Tony while a board member of River House. We served on the finance committee together, and all were beneficiaries of his knowledge, wisdom and fiduciary acumen. Suffice it to say, without Tony in that position, River House doesn't get built!

He truly was a gentle giant, but one who could quip you into a ferocious giggle. My sincere condolences to Susan and the family. Tony will be missed by many, but also remembered well by those he worked with and invariably touched. His was a life well lived.
