ARTHUR LEEDS Obituary

LEEDS--Arthur, passed away peacefully on June 15th after having a wonderful life. Arthur was born and bred in New York City to Elsie and Oscar Levy on July 28, 1928. Arthur is survived by his lifelong love, business partner and first mate Susan, with whom he shared the last fifty-nine years. Arthur is also survived by his devoted sons Andrew and Michael Leeds and niece/daughter Stacey Shurgin. Father-in-law to Alex Leeds and Ruth Genn. Funny and loving Pop-Pop to Danny, Jason and Rebecca Leeds and Jonah, Rose and Simon Genn. Committed and loving uncle to Scott Shurgin, Jackie Tannenbaum and Jamie Wiener and Matthew and Scott Segal. Loving brother-in-law to Liz and Mark Rauchwerger and Frank and Mary Jo Segal. Friend and mentor to many. Arthur loved his family, his business and his boat. He loved all the brick and mortar that went into building his successful business over the years and loved it even more when he got to share it with his kids and family. He took risks, made deals on napkins and his handshake was as good as gold. Everyone who was blessed to meet him and lucky enough to work with him, felt his generosity and positive spirit. He was a prince among men but never showed it. He will be sorely missed. May his memory and all the "Arthur Stories" live on.
