CARBALLEIRA--Assunta. It is with profound sorrow that the Board of Directors, members and friends of The Queen Sofia Spanish Institute mourn the passing of Assunta Carballeira. Her creativity, generosity and inspirational leadership as Vice President and a Board Member of the Institute will always be remembered. We at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute will be forever grateful to Assunta Carballeira for her enhancement of music and culture as well as her valuable contributions in these areas. Our deepest condolences to the family.
