I will always remember Barbara and how gracious she was whenever Ben and I visited them in Mt. Kisco. Thankful for my hubby Ben that introduced me to she and Ken in our younger days in Memphis. Beautiful intelligent Southern lady. Sincere condolences to her family.

So many memories of Mrs Jackson from English class to cheerleading coach. She was a great inspiration. I remember her wanting to be the teacher who went into space and thankful it wasn´t her after watching that tragic flight. Condolences to the entire family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Jackson. I was incredibly fortunate to have her as an English teacher at Blind Brook. She helped inspire in me a love of literature and writing. She was also an exceptionally compassionate and supportive individual. I was so excited to have connected with her again through Neighbor´s Link a few years ago. What a special person. What a legacy.

Both Barbara and Ken were instrumental in my choice to teach history after I retired. Ken´s graduate seminar introduced to me the rigors of scholarship, while Barbara´s sharing personal classroom experiences and strategies, helped me to see how rewarding teaching can be. My deepest condolences to Ken and the rest of the Jackson family.

My love and compassion goes out to all of Mrs Jackson's family and friends. She was my teacher at Blind Brook and had a huge influence on me. I remember one project with her in which she made us write in the style of Hemingway. She was no nonsense. She was funny and sharp. She loved the literature she taught us, at least that was my impression. I don't think I'd be a journalist today if Mrs Jackson and the English Dept at BBHS had not been there to teach me in the early years. I am eternally grateful that I was so lucky to know her and be taught by her.

I´m heartbroken by the loss of Barbara. I was so young when I entered Blind Brook HS as a new teacher and Barbara immediately took me under her wing. She helped me navigate my professional career and was like a surrogate mother to me for years.
She was brilliant, inspirational, and compassionate. Barbara cared deeply about All of her students.
Her love for Ken, Kevan & Karla, Gordon, Dylan,Luke, and their extended family and friends was endless. I loved my visits to Chappaqua and the last minute jaunts into NYC for the many "Jackson" tributes and events.
Her work after teaching was equally valued. Although we did not see each other often I will be forever grateful for all she had done to make our lives better.
Rest easy my friend!
