BARBARA KLEIN

KLEIN--Barbara. August 10, 1937 - May 9, 2023 Barbara was born in Yonkers, New York to Albert Goodman and Pearl Murnick, a North Carolina native. Barbara met the love of her life, Frank Klein, in December, 1953 and they stayed by each other's side from that day onward. Barbara graduated from Yonkers High School in 1955, Smith College in 1959 and received a Master's Degree in English Literature from Sarah Lawrence College in 1963. A lifelong learner and teacher, Barbara taught at Scarsdale High School, Westchester Community College, Iona College, Hunter College, and the Empire State College. Barbara treasured her Southern roots, and loved the arts: movies, music, theater and literature. Above all, she loved her family. She is survived by Frank; sister, Linda Peck (Richard); son, Dan (Melinda); and her grandchildren, Eilis, Niamh and Liam. She'll be missed forever.
