Barbara approved this Hopi Indian prayer, I read to her at the hospice:
"Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there,
I did not die"

I remember our happy days together growing up on Fire Island and the wonderful time we spent together in Israel after my bar mitzvah. I admired your marvelous talents as an accomplished pianist and avid photographer. I learned a lot from your strength, fortitude, and resilience in coping with illness and other life challenges. You were a truly caring and compassionate person who positively touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. We all miss you very much. Your memory, spirit, and good works live on! Love, Robbie
