Barry was one of the kindest and most genuine people I had ever met. Sweet, hilarious, generous, a wonderful father...his passing is such an enormous loss for everyone who knew Barry.
I will miss him so much and send prayers for peace to Tony, Michelle, his kids and family.

I am sincerely so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Barry. I met Barry a couple of years ago through a mutual friend. Barry and I immediately discovered we had two things in common: we spent the same number of years Ithaca College and he compassionately identified with my hearing loss through his tremendous love of his children, Tony and his family. He will sincerely be missed.

Barry was such a loving and gentle person. He had a wonderful sense of humor and an unforgettable smile. It is such a loss to so many... that words cannot express the depth of the sorrow we all feel. He will always be in our hearts.

You can never be prepared for anything such as this; the enormity of the loss of not only the person, but of their being. I hold many dear memories of Barry and I am thankful that there exist so many of you that hold these memories too.

Words can not express how the loss of Barry has "dimmed the lights on earth". Although my fiendship with Barry was short, too short, I am a blessed and much better person for knowing him. I will always remember what a great host he was to us everytime we were in NY to visit, his smile, his love for Tony and his family and most important his love of his boys. He will never be forgotten. You are all in my prayers.

-Suddenly and without warning life has changed forever. Words cannot express my sorrow at the loss of my lifelong friend or my feelings of sympathy for Tony and Barry's family. Barry was so many things to so many people because of his enormous capacity for love.
I will miss him and his sense of humor terribly. I regret not having more time.
By the way, Barry would have thought it hysterical that the website includes a set "selection of sympathy expressions" from which to choose.

We too were shocked and saddened to learn of Barry's passing, and are truly blessed to have had Barry as part of our lives. We will cherish the memories first created in Ithaca and then carried for many years beyond. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Edelman family.

The world is a much better place because of Barry Edelman There are no words to express how shocked and saddened I am over the death of Barry. I was shocked and deeply saddend to hear of this tragic loss. Barry was a wonderful person and I will always remember him with a smile. We had such fun times together at Ithaca College and after. Fun trips to Mexico with Michelle and at the Armenian restaurant in Fort Lee. My thoughts, prayers and love to Michelle, Zach, Alex, Tony and the entire Edelman family.

My Mom always said you reminded her of your grandfather, Ben, who was as caring and gentle a soul as you. She will always remember how kind you were to her during her illness. We always enjoyed bumping into you around town and at the gym.
