Dear Sonja,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of great loss. I can say that my memories of Barry go back before Roadshow when he exhibited at antique shows in Baltimore. I came to know and respect him then but more so to enjoy his good humor and wit through the Roadshow years. The memories will not fade though I can hope the sadness will.

I spent 15 summers with Barry working on the Antiques Roadshow. He was a great guy and a good friend. I will remember him belting out karioke songs in Miami Beach this past summer with great passion. His vocal limitations where totally obscured by his enthusiasm for the event. That is a true reflection of how he lived and played.Barry lived with gusto. He will be missed greatly by all his friends on Antiques Roadshow.

My deepest sympathies to the Weber family. I got to know Barry over the past eight years when I covered Antiques Roadshow and researched articles for the Antiques Roadshow Insider, the monthly magazine. Barry was unfailingly responsive and generous with his time and expertise. He will be much missed, both for his professional qualities and his cheerful personality and sweet nature.

Dear Sonja and Adam,

I just learned of Barry's passing from a fellow Roadshow appraiser. It has left me stunned. I didn't know Barry very well, but he was always so pleasant to be around that he left a big impression on me. Many times I joined him for lunch at the Roadshow and he was uniformly smiling and cheerful. I am sure that your loss is being felt by a very many people. My thoughts are with you.

My husband and I bought several pieces from Barry over the phone many years ago. I remember thinking that he was incredibly "nice" for someone so accomplished. When I met him through Christy Romero I found him to be kind, informative and always generous with his time and knowledge. He was truly unique. I am greatly saddened by his loss. We will miss him.
