BERNARD ARONSON

ARONSON--Bernard, passed away on April 9, 2012 at the age of 97. He died at his home in Boca Raton, Florida, surrounded by his wife, Mitzi, and his children Judith and Stephen. Berni and Mitzi had been married for 70 years. The family held a very touching bedside service with some loving friends. Berni had been one of the oldest surviving Huntington residents and WWII Veterans, having served four years in England from 1941 through 1945. He was a Huntington High School Graduate, playing quarterback on the football team, "The Blue Devils" before graduating in 1932, and attended CW Post. He was a loving husband and father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle to the entire Aronson family. Mr. Aronson was the last surviving sibling of the family and was part of the backbone of the Huntington community in the early part of the 1900's. The Aronson nieces and nephews and their children also survive him.
