BERTRAM COHN Obituary
The partners and employees of First Manhattan Co. mourn the passing of our long- time friend and colleague, Bertram J. Cohn ("Bert"). Bert joined the firm in 1982 after a long and successful career as an executive in the business sector. His 30+ years with the firm were marked by an impressive long term investment record, his devotion to and care of his clients, his wide-ranging intelligence, a quick wit and understated sense of humor, his endless story-telling, a deep reservoir of patience, and the ever- present twinkle in his eyes. He will also be remembered as a great champion for his beloved philanthropic endeavors. Bert's sound advice and kind manner earned him the trust, respect and love of his clients and colleagues alike. The First Manhattan family will miss him dearly, and offers its warmest and heartfelt condolences to Bert's wife, Barbara, his children, Daniel, Diana and Susan, their families, his brother, Theodore, his sister, Amy, and his many relatives and friends.
