He knew me as Doris Michaels & interviewed me for the Clairol receptionist position @ 1290. I moved with the company to 650. He told me I shared a birthday with his wife and brought me flowers every May 8th. He was a presence, a gentleman and obviously never forgot him these many many years later

I met BRUCE GELB when I was a teenager and my mother was a nanny for his children. I also worked as a life guard at the Gelb pool in case Jody, John, Richard or Connie needed saving (they never did!). BRUCE GELB mentored me and guided my interest in business. He suggested I apply to Harvard Business School (I never would have had he not suggested it,,,) and wrote a letter of recommendation...which I still have. After graduation I went on to have a business career which never would have been as good without his early guidance. He helped set me on a path that affected me, my wife, my children and grandchildren. I never forget how important BRUCE GELB has been to me and I know that his family must be comforted by the thoughts of the good times they shared with him.

Dear Connie, I only met your father a few times. Red Brook Harbor, The Pierre and when you were making your film Namesake. You have certainly known some personal heartache and I am truly sorry. May you and your family find peace. Paul Winston

I met Bruce when we were both working on the campaign to elect George H.W. Bush as president, in 1979. We were elated when he was selected to be the vice presidential nominee. He was a kind man and I'm very sorry for the family's loss.
