CARL GOLDSTEIN Obituary

GOLDSTEIN--Carl. The Officers, Governors and Members of the Friars Club deeply mourn the loss of their beloved friend and member, Friar Carl Goldstein. A Friar since January 1999, Carl Goldstein was a man of integrity and immense kindness. For the past 14 years our club has been blessed with the omnipresent spirit of Carl Goldstein. His goodwill and best wishes, along with his sage wisdom and tireless hard work, made the Friars Club all the better for having him as a member. In his role as House Committee Chairman, Governor of the Friars Club, Vice President of the Friars Foundation and Chairman of its Adopt a Scholar program; there has never been a more committed Friar than was he. We, along with his Friends at the United States Military Academy at West Point, as well as the entire textile industry shall miss him dearly. His memory and contribution will linger for many years to come. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Goldstein family for their loss. We are proud to have had him as a member. Friars Foundation Chairman: Ambassador Joseph Zappala, Vice Chairman Myron "Mike" Shevell Friars Club Abbot: Jerry Lewis, Dean Freddie Roman

Think of Carl often. Miss him very much. He was a very good friend and I was lucky to have him as a friend during the almost ten years we knew each other. Ron Carner

Carl was a very special man. He was warm and gracious, generous and loving. He had a very positive and lasting impact on Maccabi USA and the athletes who participate in our programs. Carl was a mensch and he will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Maccabi USA lost a dear friend and valuable team member upon the sudden passing of our beloved Oprn Women's Basketball Chairman, Carl Goldstein. Very few people have made such a positive impact upon so many, especially "his girls" of his team. They loved him as much as he loved being with them and watching them play. We will mourn Carl for a long time.
