CARL HOLMSTROM

HOLMSTROM--Carl-Eric,

passed away on November 27th, 2015 at the Lourdes Noreen McKeen Residence, West Palm Beach. A previous resident of Palm Beach and New York City, Carl-Eric was born in the town of Kage in northern Sweden in the 1920s. After a successful sales career in the Swedish fashion industry, he came to America in his 30s to develop his artistic talent and pursue a career in the fabric and decorating industry. He was the former owner of the interior decorating and antique firm, Rose Cumming Ltd. in New York City, where his keen eye for high class fabric and his innovative decorating style made him a highly regarded professional amongst both clients and staff members. Throughout his life, he continued to divide his time between the residences where he felt most at home; New York City, Southampton and Palm Beach. Carl-Eric was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gerda Holmstrom, and beloved sister, Inga-Britt Sundell. He is survived and kept in loving memory by his niece, Ann-Christin Sundell Andersson (Erling Andersson), and great-niece and nephew, Linda Andersson and Erik Andersson. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Palm Beach County Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
