CAROL SCHREIBER

SCHREIBER--Carol, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on February 28, 2025. A woman who loved the intricacies of life, she finally succumbed to Alzheimer's at 101 years. She is survived by her daughters Merrill and Catherine, grandchildren Elyse, Robyn, Stephanie, and Jeremy, and great-grandchildren Daniel, Wyatt, Asher, and Mia Rose. Born in Brooklyn, Carol spent most of her life in Great Neck. She adored her immediate and extended family and was a cherished friend to many. She and her husband of 58 years, Dr. Walter Schreiber, were Bridge Life Masters. They enjoyed dancing and playing tennis. Carol played tennis until she was 80 and was still dancing at 95. She loved music and played piano throughout her life. A great hostess, she loved entertaining. A graduate of Cornell University, she never stopped learning. She was a sculptor, painter, and a reciter of poetry. Carol will be remembered for her sparkling personality, curious nature, devotion to family and friends, keen intelligence, and the "spirit of fun" she created for all. Funeral Services Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 9:30am at Riverside Nassau North Chapel, 55 North Station Plaza, Great Neck, NY 11021. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Alzheimer's Association.
