I loved Cary, and Lennie as well as Fred and Gert. As did my late wife Sara Moss Herz who also died of ovarian cancer about three months before Cary. Sara married into the family and there was no genetic connection.
Sara and Cary shared much and grew very close with their telephone conversations near the end of both of their lives. It was a very tough time for all of us. I visited Cary about two days before her death to say Goodbye, one of the most difficult conversations of my life.
I am proud that she was a fellow cousin and think of Cary very frequently., one of the finest people I ever knew in my 87 years, I am so.sorry that we lived so far from one another.
She lives on in my best memories, Jack Herz
